Geoff Tate

Boards:   Geoff Tate, 53, is an expert in information technology.  From 1990 to 2006, he was at Rambus, holding positions that included CEO and Chairman. Prior to Rambus, he worked at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) from 1979 to 1990 in various marketing and VP positions. His last position at AMD was as Sr. VP running the Microprocessor/Logic Group.  In 2006, Geoff joined The Angels’ Forum. He joined The Halo Fund III Management Company as the Industry Consulting Partner for Information Technology the next year. Geoff is on the Advisory Council and Executive Committee for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s Engineering School and is a member of the visiting committee for the Dean of the Faculty of Science of the University of Alberta. He also serves as a Board Member for the Sustainable Valley Foundation (affiliated with SVLG). Geoff earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Alberta.
